ISLAMIC NATION OF PALESTINE BREAKS DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH LEBANON DUE TO SIGNING OF MARITIME BOUNDARY AGREEMENT WITH OCCUPYING POWER ISRAEL
Mr. Ambassador:
On instructions from Mrs. Latifa Arafat, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Nation of Palestine, I kindly request you to transmit the attached Note to Her Excellency Prime Minister Najib Mikati, in the following terms:
1. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Nation of Palestine Prince Ali Muhammad bin Faisal Al-Saud, in his capacity as Head of State and Custodian of the Holy Places of Jerusalem, has received with great displeasure the signing of a Maritime Boundary Convention between the Occupying Power of our territory Israel and the Lebanese Republic.
For all legal effects of international law, the Occupying Power Israel cannot exercise such acts because they are contrary to the Geneva Convention, since it has no treaty of limits or cession of rights with Palestine according to the Partition Resolution established in Resolution 181 of November 29, 1947, therefore this convention is void of absolute nullity.
3. As of this date, by virtue not only of an unfriendly act, but of an act contrary to the spirit of good neighborliness that should exist between nations, Supreme Leader Ali Muhammad bin Faisal Al-Saud has decided to suspend diplomatic relations between the Islamic Nation of Palestine and the Lebanese Republic.
4. Not opting for the above once our Nation takes possession of the northern territory established as a border in Resolution 181 of November 29, 1947, to invite the Lebanese Republic to form a Commission for the delimitation of both borders.
